Welcome to the Conversation

Hello, my name is Matthew Eggert and I am the founder of this podcast. My best friend Mark and my wife Susan have joined me, and with other guests we are, engaging in honest conversations about difficult subjects.

At a time when division is prevalent in our communities, our country, and around the world, we want to have conversations that have heart, depth, and nuance. Conversations where subjects can be explored in a way that allows people to be respected, encouraged, and to feel safe. Some topics may seem ordinary and some may push the boundaries of a listener's comfort zone, but all of our conversations are intended to bring an honest and perhaps new understanding of the subjects we discuss.

Our recording style is very \"kitchen table\". In fact, that is where we are recording. And they are conversations, not rants or soapbox speeches. We want to give people the space to tell their stories and offer their insights.

Many of the episodes will explore what it is like to navigate life with faith. Some of them may touch raw and vulnerable places with our guests or listeners. All of them will have a little bit of humor, and hopefully offer some new insight into the topics we discuss.
